It is very important to me to keep costs as low as I can to ensure that in house euthanasia is accessible to as many pet owners as possible. I do not differentiate between dog sizes or weights. Having owned giant breeds all my life, I can relate to constantly having to pay the higher end of the scale, I would like to alleviate that from being your final memory for your pet. We therefore have no increased charges for giant breeds, and you will pay the same rate for at home euthanasia as for any other breeds. The same applies to our cremation services.
Euthanasia dog and communal cremation £265 (including a sedation formulated for your dog’s needs)
Euthanasia cat and communal cremation £215 (including a sedation formulated for your cat’s needs)
(please allow £50 supplementation if an oral sedative is likely to be required, otherwise this will be charged at the appointment. This is for both my safety and the comfort of your pet and family. This not only covers the cost of the extra medication but also the extra time for it to take effect while I sit in my car to allow your dog time and space with you to calm. )
Prices listed include a communal cremation. Private cremations are available and subject to £150 surcharge.
This is to cover the additional costs incurred at the crematorium, and the time and fuel it takes for me to ensure your pet’s ashes are delivered safely back to you.
Other services I provide:
Telephone consultation 30 minutes to help you decide if the time is right £30
In house quality of life assessment to help you decide if the time is right £55
Please note these prices are for locations within 30 minutes travel time from Darwen in Lancashire (BB3 2RJ). For locations outside of this distance, please use google maps to calculate in minutes not miles your distance from me.
A surcharge of £20 per 15 minutes (for any appointment further than 30 minutes) travel will be added onto the displayed costs for all appointments bar telephone consults. (this takes into account the return trip’s extra time, and fuel costs) Quotes will be provided in full prior to any payment being taken, and I work out any extra travel time pro rata to keep costs as affordable as possible.
For example, Darwen to Manchester is 42 minutes. The first 30 minutes are included in the price, so the surcharge for travel would come to £15.96
It is very important for me to keep costs as transparent and as affordable as possible to ensure more people are able to access in house euthanasia for their pets.
I NOW ALSO COVER CUMBRIA TWO DAYS A WEEK. AS THESE DAYS VARY, PLEASE CONTACT ME FOR AVAILABILITY. Towns surrounding Carlisle, Penrith, Appleby, Kendal will not be subject to a travel charge.
Payment is to be made in full prior to the appointment and in order to secure a space in my diary.
Cancellations carried out with 72 hours notice, will receive a full refund. Cancellations carried out up to 24 hours notice will receive a 50% refund.
Unfortunately cancellations which are carried out after 24 hours before the appointment will not be eligible for a refund, this includes if your pet passes away while I am enroute to your appointment. If you have transport booked with me to the crematorium, this will of course still be honoured.
